Our Maths game on Wednesday, Week 2, Term 4
Mortimer class students are playing a new game to help them work out problems like 6+?=10
- They play with a buddy.
- One person hides some of the blocks while the other turns around.
- The buddy who had turned around tries to guess how many blocks are hidden.
- They record their equation as above
- They check to see if they were right
- They fix their equation if they were wrong

A new expression
Paul used an expression he learnt in a story to write a sentence and he illustrated it too.
Mortimer Class' new words
We learn many new words when we read stories. Here are some of the new words used in sentences made up by Mortimer Class students.
The Great Car Clean up
Alihetoa, Aneesah, Jashaia and Ahmed are the actors of The Great Car Clean Up for their class mates. Aneesah is the mum in the story and she needs the whole family to help clean up the car. Ask us what happened in the end! Mortimer class laughed a lot that day.
